Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a ground combat, grappling and submission sport that excels at taking the opponent down to the ground while you assert the dominant position. Techniques include various submissions, joint locks, compression locks and chokeholds that flourish from art of self defense. This type of martial art enables those at a physical disadvantage to overcome a physically more capable opponent by applying leverage and proper weight distribution. All of which will be masterfully taught and demonstrated here at Roots Mixed Martial Arts Gym. 

Roots MMA Gym is eager to teach and demonstrate BJJ to all who show interest. We want to build a community that aspires to learn and develop their skills along with you starting from any skill level. Our coaches are hand picked for their extensive knowledge and experience in BJJ along with their abilities to thrive in competition. BJJ is an art that specializes in grappling so
